Dive-in Movies

Come bring the family out for a fun movie night and swim all at the same time! Dive-in movies will be held at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center once each month from June-August featuring a different movie on our big screen. During this event, the outdoor pools and waterpark will open at 6pm for open swimming before the movie starts at 8:30pm – all available for just $5 per person (members will be admitted for free).

June 11 – Frozen

August 22 – The Pirates! Band of Misfits


 Exercise in the Park

Exercise in the Park offers all individuals the opportunity to enjoy classes offered at the Wellness and Aquatic Center out at our community parks for FREE.  Stay tuned for upcoming details on our Fall session schedule!


Fall  Art Program

‘Kids Create’ Art Class

 Whitewater Kayaking Class

CP&R will hold a whitewater kayaking course at the indoor pool at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center.  The class will be offered on Tuesday or Thursday at 7pm with a limit of 5 people per class. Learning proper paddle technique, bracing, and rolling your boat will be the focus of the class.  On October 3 or 10, the class will culminate with a trip down the Hiwassse River, a Class II,III river.  All boats, gear and kayaking trip are included in the price of $100.  Registration is open now at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center.


Couch to 5K

Want to train to run your first 5K? Make it easier on yourself with a group of people to hold you accountable, coaches for support, and an easy to use workout plan. CP&R will be offering a Couch to 5K class in the summer starting August 18! Class will be based at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center and feature weekly speakers, group runs, and other vital information and encouragement on running your first race.  Registration is now open at Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center.  Cost is $50.

Dog Obedience ClassesDogObediencePromo

Classes are held on Monday evenings; puppies at 6pm and adult dogs at 7pm. Next Session begins September 14 – October 26.  Cost is $65 for orientation and 6 weeks of class.  Instructor is Tina Herfuth.  Registration is now open at the Cullman Civic Center.  Additional 2016 sessions are scheduled for January 11 – February 22 and March 21 – May 2.

Oil Painting and Acrylic Classes

Offered every Monday night at 6:30pm at the Art Guild Building at City Park. Cost is $20 per month. Classes are ongoing, and registration takes place the night of class at the Art Guild Building.

10 Years Younger/Ageless Grace

Instructor Ann Caretti Classes focus on stretching, meditation, exercise, and aging tips 10 Years Younger is held Tuesday morning at 10am ($45 for 6 weeks) Ageless Grace is held Thursdays at 5:30pm ($30 for 6 weeks) All classes are held at the Cullman Civic Center.

Ballroom Dancing Class

Held every Thursday at the Cullman Civic Center 6:30pm for Beginners  and 7:30pm for Advanced Instructor is Mack Wilson…Cost is $10 per person each week.

Rock Climbing Course

HCP FOR NEWSLETTEROffered Saturdays at 10am January 9 – 30.  This course is available to anyone interested in climbing. First two classes will meet at Hurricane Creek Park and final class ending with a trip to a more challenging rock climbing destination.  Participants will be taken through basic safety procedures, climbing technique, rappelling, and more.  Each week will be progressively more challenging.  Professional guide John Wesley McCrary will be the instructor and supply all the equipment and climbing gear.  Cost is $40 which includes the trip at the end of the course.  Register at the Cullman Civic Center beginning in December.
