Exciting Progress: OmniPlex Sports & Civic Center Nears Completion

We're thrilled to share that Cullman's newest multi-purpose facility, the OmniPlex Sports and Civic Center, is in its final stages of construction. This state-of-the-art venue represents a significant milestone in our mission to enhance recreational opportunities for both local residents and visitors.

The OmniPlex will serve as a versatile hub for sports and community events, featuring indoor courts for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and more. Local travel teams will especially benefit, no longer needing to make long trips to Huntsville or Birmingham for practice space. The facility's innovative design includes dividing curtains and convertible flooring, allowing us to host everything from athletic tournaments to formal gatherings and conferences.

Located at the former Marvin's store site on Main Avenue SW, the OmniPlex creates an impressive recreational corridor connecting Heritage Park, the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center, Field of Miracles, and Ingle Park. We're particularly excited about the economic boost this facility will bring, with over 50 events planned for the first year potentially generating $30-40 million in local economic impact.

Our first tournament is scheduled for April 4-6, with public access opening later this spring or early summer.
