The Parks and Recreation Foundation exists to generate funds and support from the community for CP&R’s various projects. The Foundation was integral in raising funds for such facilities as the Field of Miracles at Chester Freeman Park and Heritage Park. The Foundation consists of 20 members of the community that volunteer to increase the quality of life in Cullman through the parks and recreation department. Among other events and activities, the CP&R Foundation plays a large role in the planning of both Dinner on First and Rock the South.
The CP&R Foundation is made up of Dr. Beth Bownes-Johnson, Cheri McGriff, Dale Greer, Trent Lowry, Fran Brindley, Hank Apel, Herbert Arnold, Jim Yoho, Lisa Weeks, Lona Heatherly, Mark Aderhold, Mike Manning, Peggy Smith, Rusty Turner, Wescoat Free, Zac Wood, Ron Pierce, Diane Evans, Rebecca Branch, Kasey Schaefer, Woody Jacobs, and Bill St. John.
