Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism is thrilled to offer a variety of different summer camps and clinics this year! Check out all of the information below to find out what will be offered, when you can register, when and where the activities will be taking place, and more!
Dates: First practice will be May 29
Times: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday practices weekly through June & July
Location: Cullman High School Track & Field
The USATF club track and field team is open for ages 5-18 and is great for current high school or middle school athletes to continue working on and competing in events through the summer. Several meets will be held, including qualifier meets for the National Junior Olympics. Cullman High School coaches Waid Harbison and Larry Johnson will lead the program, with current and former college track athletes also assisting. The program is also a great way to introduce young athletes to the sport of track and field, including running, jumping, and throwing. Registration opens May 1.

Times: 10 Years Old & Under: 9am | Beginner & Intermediate: 10am | Advanced: 11am
Location: Cullman High School Tennis Courts
Cost: $65 for beginners, $75 for intermediates, $85 for advanced
Two-week clinics designed to offer lessons, group training, and playing experience to beginner, intermediate, and advanced tennis players of all ages. Participants will meet Monday – Thursday each week of the clinic at their designated time. Ages 5-18 may attend. Cost is per two-week session. Registration opens May 1.

Location: Archery Park
Ages: 9 – 15
There will be three five-day archery camps this summer. Camps will teach skills, go through games, competitions, and other fun activities. Registration opens April 1. On Wednesday, we will go to CWAC to swim after camp ends at noon. On Friday, we will take a field trip to Indian Mounds in Moulton.

Times: 8am – 5pm
Location: Hurricane Creek Park
Ages: 7 – 14
Join us for fun outdoor activities, including hiking, rock climbing, rappelling, wilderness survival skills, nature scavenger hunts, camp fires, and lots of outdoor fun and games! Camp will take place at Hurricane Creek Park. Registration opens May 1.
Dates: June 18 – 22
Times: 8am – 5pm
Location: Art Park
Camp will feature craft projects, drawing, painting, and nature-themed crafts at Art Park all as part of the camp.
Dates: July 16 – 20
Times: 8am – 12pm
Location: Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center
Camp works on skills that will be needed in youth volleyball league to be held in September – October. Ages 7 – 12 can attend the clinic. Hitting, serving, volleying, and other skills will be taught. Ages 7 – 9 will have camp Monday and Tuesday, July 16 – 17. Ages 10 – 12 will have camp Wednesday – Friday, July 18 – 20. Registration opens April 1.

Times: 8am – 5pm
Location: Cullman High School
Camp will be led by Cullman High School Theater and Fine Arts Department staff members. Camp will include learning skills by putting on a show for the week with a performance on Saturday, July 28. Cost will be $5 to attend the show.
Dates: Fridays from June 15 – July 27
Times: 10am – 12pm
Just Play! is a weekly play time that will include scavenger hunts, water balloon fights, hide-and-go seek, relay games, and more! Ages 5-12 are welcome to participate at no charge.

Location: Based at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center
Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism’s favorite summer day camp returns for 2018! The camp will feature arts and crafts, camp games, sports, swimming in the outdoor pool and water park, local field trips, and weekly field trips to places like the Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, the Birmingham Zoo, and the Tennessee Aquarium. Space is limited to the first 75 campers who sign up. Registration will open April 2 at the Cullman Civic Center.
