Therapeutic Recreation

The Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism Therapeutic Recreation Program uses recreational activities, leisure, and play to enhance the quality of life for individuals with physical, mental, social, or emotional limitations or abilities.  The program targets more than play and uses the power of recreation and leisure activities to support the rehabilitation process and promote overall wellness.  Activities are targeted at education, teaching, playing, and participation in a number of meaningful activities.

The program offers several events, activities, and ongoing programs throughout the year.  It is open to all ages of anyone with special needs of all ability levels.  The program’s activities are free to attend and are supported by the efforts of the Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism Department.  For any questions regarding the program, contact Kelly Pulliam at (256) 734-9157  or kpulliam@cullmanrecreation.org.

Additional events may be added throughout the year, so be sure to check back to stay up-to-date!
