USATF Track & Field

Dates: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with weekly practices through July (first practice will be May 30)

Location: Cullman High School Track & Field Facilities

Cost: $100

The USATF club track and field team is open for ages 5-18 and is a great for current high school or middle school athletes to continue working on and competing in events through the summer. Several meets will be held including qualifier meets for the National Junior Olympics. Cullman High School Coaches Waid Harbison and Larry Johnson will lead the program, with current and former college track athletes also assisting. The program is also a great way to introduce young athletes to the sport of track and field including running, jumping, and throwing. Registration opens May 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Summer Youth Tennis Clinics

Dates: Session I: June 5 – 16, 2017 | Session II: June 19 – 30, 2017 | Session III: July 10 – July 21, 2017

Times: 9am for Beginners, 10am for Intermediate, 11am for Advanced

Location: Cullman High School Tennis Courts

Cost: $70 for Beginners, $80 for Intermediate, $90 for Advanced (per two-week clinic)

Two-week clinics designed to offer lessons, group training, and playing experience to beginner, intermediate, and advanced tennis players of all ages. Participants will meet Monday through Thursday each week of the clinic at their designated time. Ages 5-18 may attend. Registration opens May 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Youth Tennis League

Dates: August 28 – October 20, 2017 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons/nights

Location: Cullman High School Tennis Courts

Cost: $75

Ages 18 & under are eligible to register; divisions will be held for elementary aged, middle school, and high school tennis players for league play. Registration opens August 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Youth Volleyball League

Dates: September – October, 2017 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons/nights

Location: Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center and Ingle Park

Cost: $75

Youth volleyball league is open to ages 7-12; teams will be assigned at evaluations. Registration opens August 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Summer Youth Volleyball Camp

Dates: July 25 – 27, 2017 from 8am – 12:30pm

Location: Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center

Cost: $50

Camp works on skills that will be needed in youth volleyball league to be held in September – October. Ages 7-12 can attend the clinic. Hitting, serving, volleying, and other skills will be taught. Registration opens May 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Youth Fall Baseball League

Dates: September – October on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons/nights

Location: Heritage Park

Cost: $90

Youth fall baseball league will be open for a 7-8-year-old division and a 9-12-year-old age division. Play will take place with other North Alabama teams. Registration opens August 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

Summer Youth Archery Camps

Dates: Session I: June 6 – 8, 2017 | Session IIL June 27 – 29, 2017 | Session III: July 31 – August 4, 2017 from 10am – 3pm

Location: Archery Park (across from Cross Creek Golf Course)

Cost: $75 for 3-day camp, $100 for 5-day

Participate in this fun archery camp with games, competitive shoots, team shoots, drills, and safety tips. 5-day camp will attend the National ASA Archery Shoot at St. Bernard on Friday that will feature hundreds of professional and elite archers from around the world. Opens May 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

ARPA District II Archery Tournament

Dates: July 22, 2017 from 9am – 5pm

Location: Archery Park (across from Cross Creek Golf Course)

Cost: $20 per archer

This tournament will serve as a qualifying tournament for the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Meet. Archers from across North Alabama will be able to participate in this competitive shoot. 3rd grade through high school ages groups will be able to shoot as part of the tournament. United Way 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Dates: April 8, 2017 at 9am

Location: Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center

Cost: $50 per team

This tournament sponsored by the United Way of Cullman will raise money for the many projects the United Way sponsors each year. All ages welcome to attend including youth and adults. Registration opens March 1 at the United Way, the Cullman Civic Center, or online.

Location: Cullman Civic Center Archery Range

Cost: $100 for 12-week session

Classes will be open for 3rd grade students and up wishing to hone their archery skills. Participants will move up to different levels after passing certain tests and skill assignments. Advanced classes will specifically work with NASP school students preparing for competitive shooting in the winter and spring with their schools. Registration opens August 1 at the Cullman Civic Center or online.

 

Intermediate Youth Archery Classes

Dates: September 11 – December 7, 2017
