Monday Jam Session

Come together with other seniors to listen to pickers as they play old time country music or try your talent at picking and singing with them.

An exercise area with several types of equipment is available for seniors to use provided they have a release form signed by their physician.

Fitness for Life

Walking and light cardio stretching classes that help boost your energy.

Date: Year-Round (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)

Time: 8:00am – 9:15am

Dulcimer Classes

Take lessons to learn the Appalachian dulcimer, generally regarded as one of the easiest string instruments to learn. The traditional way to play the instrument is to lay it flat on the lap and pluck or strum the strings with the right hand, while fretting with the left.

Fun & Games

Bring a friend or make new ones with a fun filled day of fellowship, card playing or dominos.

Bunco

A parlor game played in teams with three dice.

Date: 1st Wednesday of each Month

Art Classes

Art classes in oils, acrylics and other venues. This is a relaxing and rewarding activity. Seniors are responsible for furnishing their own supplies.

Date: The 1st Tuesday of each month from January – October.

Yoga

Health benefits associated with Yoga are improved flexibility, more strength, improved posture, and relaxation.  Classes can be done from a mat or in a chair.

Learn this old style of traditional singing that took root in the Southern region of the United States as a part of the larger tradition of shape note

Try your talent at singing or enjoy listening to other seniors sing as Roy Moon provides music and karaoke for an afternoon of entertainment.

Rap N Tap Hillbilly Band

Tap your toes and clap your hands to the antics of the Rap N Tap Hillbilly Band as they play along with Bluegrass and other music with a rub board, bass tub, tea kettle, pan, spoons and other items. Available for entertainment.

Festivities begin at 10am. Entertainment will be Terry Cavanaugh & the Alpine Express. A free hot dog lunch and water or root beer will be provided. Senior bingo will be held after lunch. Seats are limited, but lawn chairs are permitted.
