GOAL, or Get Out and Live, is a campaign designed to focus on engaging in day-to-day physical activities resulting in a well-rounded lifestyle. GOAL places emphasis on participating not only traditional physical activities, but also activities not considered traditional aerobic or resistance training. The program also prioritizes all types of fitness no matter the age or abilities of the individual. Promoting the act of enjoying physical activities through every stage of life fostering healthy, lifelong practices.
These activities span from playing on a neighborhood playground, walking your dog, taking a hike with friends, or even joining a local sports team. Designating a small amount of time to engage in physical activity creates a well-rounded lifestyle that has physical and mental benefits. By engaging in physical activities for at least 30 minutes, three to five times a week, individuals can experience health benefits that enhance quality of life.
